For Clients
How far in advance should I book an underwater photoshoot?
We typically recommend booking your underwater portrait session at least eight to twelve weeks in advance, especially if you have a specific date in mind such as a milestone birthday, anniversary, or maternity window. Our calendar fills earliest during the spring and fall months, when the weather is mild and natural-light spring shoots are at their best.
Weekend dates and full-moon natural-light sessions are usually reserved several months out. If you are planning a destination or travel session, please allow at least three to four months of lead time so we can coordinate locations, permits, and lodging. We do occasionally have last-minute openings due to schedule shifts, and joining our priority waitlist is the easiest way to be notified first.
Maternity sessions require especially careful timing, so reaching out early in your second trimester is ideal. Booking early also gives us more time for the creative planning that distinguishes a memorable shoot from a generic one. Once your date is confirmed with a retainer, we begin building your personalized mood board, wardrobe plan, and shot list immediately.
