For Clients

Do you photograph children and families underwater?

Yes, we love photographing children, siblings, and entire families underwater, provided that every participant is at least six years old and reasonably comfortable putting their face in the water. Younger children require a slightly different creative approach, with shorter shooting windows, more playful direction, and frequent breaks for snacks, hugs, and rest.

We always conduct a brief in-water warm-up game before the camera comes out, so kids associate the pool with fun rather than performance pressure. Parents are welcome to be in the water alongside their children for both emotional reassurance and beautifully tender family portraits. Each child receives their own dedicated safety swimmer during the shoot, regardless of swimming ability, because we never compromise on supervision ratios.

Our heated pool keeps even small bodies warm, and we limit total water time to roughly thirty minutes for children under ten. Family underwater portraits have a uniquely timeless quality because water erases the trends and styling cues that date most traditional family photos. Many of our family clients tell us their underwater portrait is the only family photograph they have ever printed at gallery scale for their home.
