For Clients

Can I bring my own wardrobe to my underwater photoshoot?

Absolutely — we actively encourage clients to bring personal wardrobe pieces that hold sentimental meaning, such as a wedding gown, a christening dress, a family heirloom, or a favorite flowy garment. Underwater photography rewards lightweight, breathable fabrics like silk, chiffon, organza, and tulle, while heavy denim or rigid synthetic blends tend to sink unattractively.

Solid jewel tones and pastels photograph especially beautifully underwater because they retain their saturation under blue light. We also maintain an extensive in-house wardrobe collection of designer gowns, mermaid tails, and flowing fabrics that you are welcome to use at no additional cost. During your pre-shoot consultation, we review every garment together and advise on movement, color, and whether each piece will float or sink as intended.

Please be aware that chlorine and natural minerals in spring water can occasionally cause subtle fading on delicate fabrics, so we never recommend bringing irreplaceable couture without that understanding. We rinse all client wardrobe immediately after the shoot to minimize any potential damage. The most memorable portraits often blend a beloved personal piece with one of our signature studio gowns for variety.
